HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER

Main Duties and Responsibilities

·        To ensure that the HR Department is approachable, helpful and meets the needs of our ‘customers’ at all times.

·        Conducting monthly payroll and all social security processes and duties in a timely manner according to the Turkish labour law and Social Security law and regulations.

·        Provide an effective recruitment service to all departments, filling positions on a timely basis and using innovative, cost efficient approaches to attract the best candidates.

·        Maintain an up to date cv database for future facilitation of recruitment needs.

·        To ensure reference checks are conducted for all staff and records of such references are kept on file in accordance with personal data protection legislation 

·        To ensure all employee files are kept up to date - and to ensure confidentiality of employee information is maintained at all time, in line with Personal Data Protection legislation

·        Update all HR documentation, charts etc. on a regular basis (master list, annual leave, monthly and yearly turnover, overtime, extra staff records, procedures etc.)

·        To provide a source of information to Department Heads regarding disciplinary, grievance and employee counselling issues.   Ensure all disciplinary procedures are carried out, taking role of arbitrator, note taker or advisor where appropriate

·        Manage the sick leave policy of the property in conjunction with Department Heads.  Responsible for logging of all sick leave and other absence and provide information to managers on levels of sick leave. Take a proactive role in cases of extended or repeated sickness absence

·        Possesses a high level of professionalism and integrity while maintaining the confidentiality of the office and hotel management issues

·        Works closely with Director of HR and provides functional assistance in the fields of quality and brand standards, performance appraisals, learning and development activities, motivational and social activities, annual payroll&HR budget, yearly employee engagement survey etc.

·        Assists to Director of HR to implement and coordinate all activities related with Turkish Labor Laws and Regulations

·        Ensures that accurate job descriptions exist for all applicable positions and that the information is reviewed and updated when necessary.

·        Ensures that the employee locker rooms remain clean, orderly and immediate corrective action is taken if not.

·        Plans overall hotel Training Activities in timely manner.

·        Updates training history files in co-ordination with Director of HR

·        Co-ordinates together with Director of HR that training activities and departmental training including daily stand-ups at all departmental levels are continuously provided and, where necessary, are properly and constantly administered.

·        Conduct and report exit interviews

·        Run work permit process for foreign employees.

·        Performs other duties assigned by Director of HR.

 

Requirements

 

·        Bachelor’s Degree preferably in the field of Human Resources , Business or Hospitality Management

·        At least 1 year of relevant experience in an international 5-star or luxury hotel (experience at one of the Marriott International Hotels is a plus)

·        Advanced level knowledge of Turkish Labor Laws and Regulations

·        Fluent in English (both verbal and written)

·        Proficient in MS Office and preferably Logo HR or netsis Programs

·        Preferably residing on the Asian side of Istanbul,

·        Excellent communication, counseling and interpersonal skills

·        Ability to manage, train and motivate a variety of people

·        Great attention to details, well-organized

·        Can identify priorities and effectively execute tasks/projects accordingly and in a timely manner

·        Highly interactive and people oriented

·        Professional and appropriate business appearance and presentation

·        For male candidates, no relationship with military service

Associate Degree(Graduate), Bachelor’s(Graduate)
Completed, Exempt
English(Reading : Advanced, Writing : Advanced, Speaking : Advanced)
