Job Description

We are looking for an Android developer responsible for the development and maintenance of Android and Android TV applications. Your primary focus will be the development of Android / Android TV applications and their integration with back-end services. You will be working along-side other engineers and developers working on different layers of the infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Translate designs and wireframes into high quality code
• Develop, design, build, and maintain high performance, reusable, and reliable Java/Kotlin
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation

Skills

• 5+ years of coding experience with advanced Java/Kotlin programming and object-oriented development
• Strong coding abilities and experience with Android development platform
• Strong knowledge of Android Studio, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes
• Experience with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
• Strong knowledge of Android/Android TV UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
• Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
• Knowledge of the Android ecosystem and the libraries
• Experience with cloud message APIs and push notifications
• Knowledge of CleanArchitecture
• Experience with DRM technologies
• Understanding of Android/Android TV design principles and interface guidelines
• Knowledge/experience of code versioning tools, such as Git
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
